The displacement occurring in both directions can only be compensated by using a side expansion expansion joint. The universal belt expansion joint consists of two bellows that are interconnected by an intermediate tube and a post system that can withstand the thrust generated by internal pressure.
Compensation displacement
This type of expansion joint is used to compensate for the lateral displacement of all planes. In addition, the expansion joint is capable of simultaneously absorbing partial lateral and angular deflections by a special positioning of the two posts at an angle of 180 degrees.
The amount of lateral deflection depends on the number of convolutions on the bellows on each side of the expansion joint. This amount of deflection can also be increased by changing the length of the intermediate tube. At the same time, the post can effectively prevent possible torque.
Advantages of universal belt post and expansion joint (side)
Compensate for lateral displacement of all planes
Easy to compensate for large telescopic displacement
Use the smallest area
Eliminate axial errors and increase system security
