Custom Fit Fans
The ‘XLP’ fan is built to last, and well-suited for transporting clean air. Our fans are often running on a 24-hour basis, and have been known to outlive our competitors’. The XLP model is used in small and medium-sized industrial plants, in comfort and industrial ventilation and various filter systems.
SCOPE
There are 15 frame sizes in the XLP range, and each size is available in various models.
The XLP range is suitable for low pressures from 200 Pa to 2,000 Pa.
In terms of volume, the XLP range spans from 100 m3/h to 50,000 m3/h.
The XLP range is designed for operating temperatures up to 600 °C with cooling discs and customized versions are available.
The impeller can be mounted directly on the motor shaft or on a shaft with coupling and bearings. A solution with belt drive is also available with the motor mounted either above the fan shaft or below on a stand on the common base frame.
CERTIFIED MATERIALS
As standard the fan casing is made from mild carbon steel, S235JR (EN10025). The impeller is made from carbon steel, S235JR (EN10025) or Corten steel. Up to dia. 515 mm, the impeller may be manufactured in aluminium. The fan frame is made from carbon steel, S235JR (EN10025). The shaft is centreless ground Ceax steel as standard, type C45E. Various shields are made from carbon steel, S235JR (EN10025). Electrode welding with mild steel wire and flux wire (AWS A5.22/SFA 5.22). The XLP range may also be made of Corten-A as well as various types of stainless steel.
SURFACE TREATMENT
A standard fan is primed and finished with alkyd top coat RAL 7001 with total thickness of 80 µm. Flue gas fans are finished with black heat-resistant paint. This scheme complies with corrosion class 1. Other colours or paint schemes are available according to the assignment.
Fans in stainless steel will be glass blasted as standard. On request, stainless steel fans can be supplied with the surface pickled.
QUALITY CONTROL
Welding certificates can be presented on request.
The fan wheel is balanced in accordance with ISO 1940-1 with a balance quality grade of at least G 6,3. Vibrations on the fan (fan wheel, motor, pulleys, cooling discs, etc.) are tested in accordance with ISO 14694 and ISO 10816-3. The fan undergoes final testing in accordance with customer specifications. Electricity consumption, power consumption, speed and static pressure are all measured.
can perform classification of fan and motor at the customer’s request.
STANDARDS
The fans comply with the EU Machinery Directive (98/37/EF).
