Description of Overvoltage Protector
Overvoltage protector includes a spring-loaded piston valve. The spring keeps the valve open under normal pressure conditions. When the system pressure exceeds the set pressure, the spring is affected by the force, causing the valve to close. The valve will remain closed until the system pressure drop is close to 25% of the closing pressure; then the spring will reopen the valve under pressure.
The factory settings of the overvoltage protector can be found in the data sheet.
Steps to change your settings:
Rotate the adjusting screw clockwise ⇒ The closing pressure becomes larger (rotating the adjusting screw counterclockwise ⇒ the closing pressure becomes smaller)
Do not use overvoltage protectors as device controls!
Settings during factory installation
When ordering with the pressure gauge, the overvoltage protector setting is 1.1 times the maximum range value.
