Description of strain gauge force sensor
Strain-type force sensors can be used to measure the strain generated by some large parts of the device itself when subjected to external forces. The sensor can be mounted directly on the part under test. During calibration, the strain of the component under test is transmitted to the sensor through a frictional connection with the strain gauge force sensor, and the strain gauge force sensor is converted into a force value output by a change in strain.
As mentioned above, this sensor has easy-to-change characteristics and requires a small installation space, so this sensor is a highly versatile sensor that can be applied to force measurement and control. Application examples include large machinery and steel structures, all of which are heavily loaded. This is especially true in the mechanical manufacture of presses and presses.
Strain-type force transducers can be used to measure strain in tensile and compression at 1.0 ‰ and achieve a full-scale measurement accuracy of 2%. The user can secure the sensor to the force extension of the part under test with two bolts. The sensor has a built-in amplifier that allows the user to calibrate the deformed body/strain force sensor with control signals.
The core component of the strain gauge force sensor is a 7 mm thin film sensor chip. In such a small space, the chip integrates a temperature compensated Wheatstone bridge circuit. The force sensor complies with the EN61326 electromagnetic compatibility specification and is equipped with a digitally programmable amplifier for parameter presets. If desired, the user can get a version with a measurement range selection. Strain gauge force sensors are available for static or dynamic force measurement.
