Ayvaz KP-01 capacitive liquid level controller works according to the principle of capacitance measurement. It is used to display continuous levels of conductive and non-conductive liquids. The KP-01 includes a level transmitter that is integrated into the electrode to produce a standard analog signal of 4-20 mA. The 4-20 mA analog output can be monitored from the display on the panel protection box. The KP-01 displays a 4-20 mA analog output and liquid level percentage in a fuel tank or boiler. Specially designed winglets are used with cooling tubes for the thermal insulation of the electrodes.
The principle of capacitance measurement is used to indicate the level. The electrode rod and the vessel wall form a capacitor. It is basically based on the fact that the capacity value is affected by the dielectric values of the material and the plate area between the plates and the distance between them. Since the area of the electrode and the can wall is fixed, the only variable is that the substance in the can acts as a dielectric.
If the level of this dielectric material changes, the current flowing through the plate will also change proportionally. A dielectric is defined as an insulating substance that holds many liquids such as water outside. The dielectric constant of air and vacuum is 1, while the dielectric constant of other substances is greater than 1, so the capacity changes as the mass of the can changes. In order to obtain useful measurements, the measuring rod (impregnated rod) immersed in the liquid at different depths must be completely insulated. After adjusting the zero measurement range, the level can be read through the display unit.
