Compensation displacement
Pipe expansion joints are used to compensate for axial displacement and keep the pipeline safe. The 90/70°C heating duct system creates a displacement of approximately 3 mm per floor. For buildings over 10 floors, pipe expansion joints must be used to compensate for the total telescopic displacement. Pipe expansion joints must be reused every 10th floor.
