Description
Electrical contact protection relays are suitable for Type 821 electrical contact devices. These relays improve the switching reliability and switching capability of live contact devices (mechatronics) and reduce the contact voltage of switching devices. In addition, the relay has a 0.5 second off-delay that greatly reduces the possibility of accidental switching due to vibration.
The electrical contact side has a very low control voltage, while the output side voltage is very high, which can drive large loads.
Electrical contact protection relay consists of power supply unit, control unit, switching amplifier and relay output. The control unit periodically supplies a DC voltage of 35 to 40 V to the electrical contact (ie, the number of switching of the electrical contacts is only one percent of the original at the supply voltage). This allows for optimal electrical contact protection and switching reliability in millions of switching cycles.
Liquid-filled measuring instruments with live contacts usually require an electrical contact protection relay. The fill fluid can extend the life of the mechanical measurement system, but it also exacerbates the ablation of the stylus.
In addition to the electrical contact output, the relay has an additional output of 24 V DC (up to 20 mA). This additional output can be used to power the LED lights or sensors.
When using inductive or capacitive loads, be sure to follow the relevant safety measures.
