Description
XTRACTO-PAD® is able to accurately measure the surface temperature of the pipe inside the furnace. XTRACTO-PAD® is a patented product developed by Gayesco, Inc. Gayesco products and patents are currently part of the Wika Group.
XTRACTO-PAD® is designed with a guide slot and a patented insulation panel, a detachable and curved thermocouple sensor (armored cable) mounted in a heat shield with guide slots. It consists of a metal sheath and insulated leads compressed in a high density ceramic material. The inner wire is made of a heat sensitive material. The appropriate outer sheath material can be selected according to the application requirements. At one end of the armored cable, the internal conductors are soldered together to form an insulated (ungrounded) or uninsulated (grounded) measuring point.
This unique thermocouple design allows welded parts (guide grooves, insulation boards and pipe clamps) to be installed by the manufacturer of the heater/boiler, or even the manufacturer of the specialized tube, to the furnace tube in.
The patented shield is placed over the guide slot and armored cable. The shroud is a key component of XTRACTO-PAD® providing accurate tube tube temperature measurement.
The other end of the armored cable, the end of the lead is connected to the armored cable and sealed with a sealant. The wire finally forms a platform for electrical connection. Cables, plug-in connectors, and connector sockets can be connected to this platform.
Sensor Design
XTRACTO-PAD® is designed into three main components: a curved thermocouple sensor, a guide slot and a patented heat shield designed to fit all sizes of tubes and sensors.
Using these engineering components XTRACTO-PAD® design provides accurate measurement results and the ability to replace thermocouples.
