Gasification reactor
GtL reactor (gas to liquid)
Sulphur recovery unit
Features
Since the sapphire sensor uses a single crystal structure, its service life is 3 times longer than pure ceramic protection tube
High process safety, allowing maximum temperatures and pressures up to 1,700 & deg; C (3,092 & deg; F) and 6.5 MPa (943 psi)
Unplanned downtime is shorter
Double sealing system improves safety and prevents toxic media from leaking
No purge system and sensor repairable, cost savings
Description
This high temperature thermocouple with hermetic sapphire protection tube was specially developed for gas reactors. Through the single crystal structure, sapphire protects the precious metal of the thermocouple from toxic and harmful media in the corrosive environment of the gasification reactor.
Since 1997, the T-FZV patented solution has been successfully used in different reactors around the world. The hermetic connection of the pressure seal between the sapphire and the metal protection tube, as well as the multiple sealing system in the connection box, prevents toxic gases from escaping from the reactor.
The temperature and pressure during the gasification process are very high, so the requirements for the protection tube and thermocouple used are very high.
These process conditions often result in operational shutdown and interruption. The patented sapphire design significantly extends life expectancy and reduces downtime.
