SF6 gas density meter

Apps
Medium and high voltage switchgear
Gas density monitoring of closed SF6 tanks
When the pointer reaches the alert setting, the meter will send an alarm signal

Features
Function check or recalibration without disassembly
The case, wetted parts, globe valve and test joint are all welded by stainless steel
Test joints and globe valves are one-piece welded design to prevent gas leakage

Description
Electronic switch contacts
Gas density is an important parameter for high voltage switchgear. If the gas density does not meet the design requirements, the device cannot guarantee safe operation.
WIKA gas density meter can stably output alarm signals to avoid danger in the low density state of the gas in the equipment under normal or even extreme conditions. The electronic switch contacts alert the equipment operator when the gas density drops below a set point due to leakage.
Apps
WIKA gas density meter is all welded seal with temperature compensation. Therefore, it is possible to prevent fluctuations in measured values and false alarms caused by ambient temperature or air pressure.
Simple and fast feature check
Regularly performing functional checks is a common practice to ensure equipment safety, asset protection, and environmental protection. Article 5 of the European Union Regulations on Greenhouse Fluoride Gases stipulates that if the equipment contains SF6 gas greater than 22 kg and is installed after January 1, 2017, the equipment's leak detection system should be inspected at least every six months.
The soldering calibration valve allows the gas density meter to be turned off and recalibrated from the process without disassembly. This not only reduces maintenance time, but also minimizes the risk of SF6 gas emissions and potential leaks during recommissioning.
In order to prevent accidental opening or closing of the shut-off valve, only special tools and torque wrenches can be used to close the shut-off valve. This special tool cannot be removed when the shutoff valve is closed. The tool can only be removed when the shut-off valve is opened, and the gas density meter is again connected to the device.
